i’ve been in trade on the grounds that Aug 2007 & have had only a few sales. I’ve tried the entire “regulars” but they require cash that I don’t have (anymore). i’m attempting to use as many free merchandising avenues as i will be able to however nonetheless seem to be sinking deeper & deeper. Is there any extra methods to promote and/or get funding to help keep my trade afloat?

the truth that you do not even inform us what you might be selling guidelines at the downside. ok, you are selling one thing…a product or a carrier. there is a “larget market”. It makes no sense to take a look at and sell to everyone. which you can’t be all issues to all folks. if you need to achieve success, you must consider who’s the right person to buy your product. They you must ask how do I reach these people. promoting may just or will not be the proper resolution. there’s personal promoting, direct mail, phone sales and a couple of different methods to reach customers.

i’d suggest asking a query like: i’ve a industry that sells product X. My buyers seem to be a lot of these people, How do I reach extra of them, with out spending a lot of money.

    then this is a must check it out man! i found this and its the best so far. i personally use it. but let me be honest with you unlike some other people, its how to get your google ads free, but its not that there are no charges initially, its just that inside reveals how to get around this and use secret methods to get it free in the sense you wont need to fork out that amount. get it?
    the charges will still be stated in the campaign but you wont need to fork out that cash. the best part is google is fine with it. ITS LEGAL guy!!
    i actually wanted to use it myself but i realised that alot of people are finding the same thing i was finding for when i started out in promoting my other stuff. but ya i will be upfront with you guys that i will get a cut from this if you guy eventually get this cool stuff but it wasnt my plan and its not what i plan solely and primarily. its just something for me to gain for sharing this with you guys afterall if someone else shared this with you they will get a cut also, so its common and its not like if you get it straight from the vendor it will be cheaper, it’ll still be the same. so let me gain abit anw for sharing with you guys. thanks so much!! anw overall its really nothing compared to what you will get back using the system. anw i wont be talking so much about it, i’ll let the website do the talking. [btw is not that i dont want to tell you guys how, its just that you need to go through the details and resources given by them straight to ensure your success, cos if you do it wrongly you will be worse of then not using it.]

    1. Submit products to Google Base for their Google Products search.
    This is huge. It costs nothing and will bring, not only traffic to your site, but orders. Google has a large data base of vendor’s products for sale, (this was formally named Froogle). If you go to Goggle’s main page and click on shopping in the top left corner, you will be in their Products search page. Here a person can search for particular products such as a book, a DVD, diamond rings, clothes, whatever they want. The result of the search will list a variety of vendors web sites with a link to the product. The way you get into Google products, is to use their Google Base program. You can list one at a time, or you can upload using a tab-delimited file. If you a very large data base (20Mb), they allow an FTP transfers.

    Google also has software that interfaces directly with their database. You do not need to use Google Base. It is called Google Base Store Connector.

    The down side to this is that their store connector software only works if you have an online store with eBay, Yahoo, or using osCommerce software.

    Everyone else must use Google Base.

    2. Traffic Exchanges
    A traffic exchange web site is basically a place where you view other peoples web pages and blogs. In exchange, other people can look at your web site or blog.

    In practice, it is fairly simple. After you sign up and enter your web site information, you begin to surf. As you view a page, you will earn credits. These credits are used up as other surfers view your web page.

    Some traffic exchanges will give you a 1:1 ratio. This means that for every page you view you will earn 1 credit. 2:1 ratio means you would need to view 2 web sites to earn 1 credit. The ratio offered by a traffic exchange often has to do with the number of members they have and sometimes the time required to view a page.

    The type of traffic exchanges I have been explaining so far, are often referred to as “manual exchanges”. They are manual because you must be in front of your computer screen, mouse in hand and click. Automated software is near impossible to implement. This is the best type of traffic exchange to use, and will be the type I refer to for the reminder of this article.

    Having said all of this, the following is a short list of popular Traffic Exchanges to start off with.

    Perhaps the largest traffic exchange on the net. You have to at least try them out, if only for the large membership and traffic.
    Has everything a traffic exchange can have. They even have a daily credit lottery, where you can purchase tickets with your credits. If you find TrafficSwarm effective, they have great upgrades.

    Ilovehits
    One of my top 5 favorite sites. Been around a long time. Very simple to use. Large membership. 10 second timer.

    Easyhits4u
    Top 5 site on the internet. 1:1 surf ratio. Very large membership (over 50,000). 50 credit bonus just for signing up, so you can’t lose.

    3. Join forums
    Forums are discussion boards and are a great way to achieve links to your website. In most forums you are allowed to have a signature and in your signature you can put a link to your website. Two important things to keep in mind:

    1. Make sure it is a forum you are interested in. You must be able to make comments that are pertinent to the forum topic.
    2. No Spam. And when I say this, I am talking about any post which has as it’s sole objective, promoting your product and/or web site. That your web site is listed as a signature in your posting, should be clear even to the most casual of readers, as secondary to the comments made on the topic under discussion.

    4. Get Listed in Free Directories
    Getting listed in directories helps your search engine rankings. It takes time to submit and even more time for you site to be listed. At least for a free listing.

    5. Write an article

    That way, when people search for products that you happen to sell, you will be somewhere on top of the page results. Those two methods I mentioned worked for me and my small digital template business. I don’t know how large of a business you have, but those two sure helps us gain more visitors and customers.

    You’ve given little specific information about what you sell, which suggests you don’t really know.

    See, insurance agents, good ones, don’t sell insurance.

    … They sell peace of mind.

    Getting traffic can be hard work – and I’m guessing you’re one of the bootstrap business owners with a website, trying to make money with little capital for advertising.

    Advertising and getting traffic to your website or store is one thing…

    … turning that traffic into cash and paying customers is quite another.

    In short, you need to get a clue about real marketing. You need to educate yourself about what drives people to buy as if the survival of your business depended on it….

    … which indeed it does.

    Free outlets like FFA sites, safelists, Craigslist, and free ad boards are saturated with people just like you, looking to make money without investing any. Only the most skilled and dedicated of them survive.
